Tottenham are rumoured to have held talks over signing Omar Alderete from Getafe in the winter, whereas in attack, Timo Werner came in for criticism from Postecoglou after his display against Rangers.

“I said that to Timo. He’s a senior international, he’s a German international,” said Postecoglou on Werner’s performance against Rangers.

“In the moment we’re in right now, it’s not like we’ve got many options. I need everyone to at least be going out there trying to give the best of themselves. His performance in the first half wasn’t acceptable.”

Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki has been linked as a potential replacement for Werner, but now, another new defender has emerged on the radar of Daniel Levy and co.

Tottenham want another Leeds star after Archie Gray

According to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, talking to Leeds United News, Spurs are one of the clubs looking at signing Leeds defender Pascal Struijk in 2025 after their move for Gray earlier this year.

“Struijk is coming into his prime and has really been under the radar to a lot of people – not Leeds fans – but he is very much on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs.

“A left sided defender and he is real quality and I am told Tottenham are amongst those who have checked on him. Clearly Leeds want him to stay and will look to tie him down to a new deal, but him staying long-term will be dictated by Leeds getting back to the Premier League.”

Struijk has been a regular at the back for the Whites under Daniel Farke and is actually the Championship’s top passer after 21 games.

أوضح أمير عزمي مجاهد، المدرب العام السابق لنادي الزمالك، رأيه في انتقال أحمد سيد زيزو إلى صفوف الأهلي، كما تحدث عن الفوز على حرس الحدود بالمباراة التي جمعتهما أمس ببطولة الدوري المصري.

وفاز الزمالك على حرس الحدود، بنتيجة 2-0، في اللقاء الذي أقيم في إطار مواجهات الجولة الثانية من عمر المرحلة النهائية لمسابقة الدوري.

وقال أمير عزمي في تصريحات عبر قناة “إم بي سي مصر”: “كنت متوقع أن زيزو لن يُجدد في الزمالك، زيزو كان معروفًا أن عقده سينتهي، موضوع المفاوضات منذ 7 أشهر، كنت متوقع إن بعد كل هذه المدة لن يُجدد قبل نهاية عقده بشهرين”.

وتابع: “تكلمت مع زيزو عندما عرض عليه فيلا في عقده الجديد، وكان كلامه معي إن الأرقام التي تتردد ليست صحيحة”.

وأضاف: “وارد أن لاعبين ينتقلون من الزمالك للأهلي والعكس، لكن لأنه كان نجمًا الجميع توسم أنه يُصبح أسطورة، لذلك حزنوا، لكن نحن لن نُغلق نادي الزمالك بسبب لاعب انتقل للأهلي، لكن كنت أتمنى أن زيزو وقت أن وصلت له عروض في يناير كان لا بد أن يُباع، حيث كان سيدخل النادي مبلغًا يحل أزمات”.

وأكد: “أُخذ على مجلس الإدارة أنه لا يجب أن ينظر لرد فعل الجمهور، لأنهم داخل النادي ويعرفون الظروف الداخلية”.

وأوضح: “بالنسبة لي مكسب الزمالك أمام حرس الحدود مهم جدًا، وأتمنى من الجماهير ألا تسأل عن شكل الأداء لأننا في مرحلة إخطف الـ3 نقاط وإجري، لأن القصة ممكن تتغير تمامًا بعد خصم الـ 3 نقاط من الأهلي في نهاية الموسم، لأن ممكن الزمالك يفوز على بيراميدز والفارق يقترب، لكن للأسف نلعب في مسابقة ولا نعرف ماذا سيحدث، الزمالك في الموسم الماضي كان يلعب وكلنا نعلم أنه سيتم خصم منه 3 نقاط، لماذا حتى الآن الأمر معلق بالنسبة للأهلي؟”.

وأتم: “النادي الأهلي إذا لم يُخصم منه 3 نقاط بنهاية الموسم ستكون مشكلة كبيرة جدًا لـ الزمالك وبيراميدز”.

Ruben Amorim will hope there are enough funds about to make one or two improvements to his squad, as he looks to get his side back near the top end of the Premier League.

It has recently been reported that Amorim has asked United to complete a double signing of Francisco Moura and Samu Omorodion. Both players are at Porto, and they are both enjoying an impressive season in Portugal, and Amorim is keen to use his links in his homeland to bring these two to Old Trafford.

Moura is a left-back, a position that does need addressing for United, as injury problems continue, while Samu is a number nine who has been in sensational form all season.

United are also working on a deal to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona. The relationship between Barça and De Jong has turned into bitterness, and the midfielder is not keen on extending his stay with the Spanish side. This latest development has now caught the attention of United, but they are not alone, as Chelsea are also keen on signing the Dutch international.

According to Caught Offside, Manchester United are keen on signing Southampton’s Tyler Dibling. The 18-year-old is a product of Saints’ academy, playing for their under-18s and under-21s before moving into the first team this season.

Dibling, who has been dubbed a “top” player by teammate Yuki Sugawara, appeared in the Southampton first team last season, mainly in the FA Cup, but in this 2024/25 campaign, Russell Martin has trusted him more, starting 10 of the 16 games he has played in all competitions.

Dibling emerged on United’s radar earlier this season, and now this report states that the Red Devils are eyeing a potential transfer next year. وأوضح صفوت أن النادي كان قد جهّز تذاكر السفر ذهابًا وعودة للمدرب بتاريخ 30 مايو، تزامنًا مع نهاية مدة التعاقد، لكنه فاجأ الجميع بطلب مغادرة البلاد مبكرًا بسبب “ظروف أسرية”، على حد قوله.

وأضاف أن ماركيس طلب تعديل موعد سفره، وهو ما كان سيكلف النادي نحو 70 ألف جنيه، الأمر الذي رفضه الزمالك، وطالب المدرب بتحمل التكلفة بنفسه، إلا أنه رفض ذلك.

وأشار المسؤول الزملكاوي إلى أن ماركيس امتنع عن حضور مباراة الزمالك أمام الأهلي في نهائي كأس مصر لكرة اليد، رغم تواجده في مصر وقتها، ما اعتبره النادي موقفًا غير احترافي، وتم رفع الأمر إلى مجلس الإدارة.

واختتم صفوت تصريحاته قائلاً: “يتبقى للمدرب شهر ونصف من مستحقاته المالية، وسيتم صرفها بنهاية مدة التعاقد كما ينص العقد، مع خصم الغرامة المقررة عليه بسبب غيابه غير المبرر عن مواجهة الأهلي”.

The questions around Prithvi Shaw’s health continue with Delhi Capitals’ assistant coach Shane Watson saying that the opener is unlikely to be available for the team’s last two league games.Shaw has been down with a fever and has been admitted to a hospital. He last played on May 1, against Lucknow Super Giants, and has missed three games since then.”I don’t know his diagnosis exactly,” Watson told the Grade Cricketer on Thursday, “but he has just had this underlying fever for the previous couple of weeks, which they’ve had to really get to the bottom of it to find out exactly what it was. It’s not looking great for him to be available for the last couple of games, which is a big shame because he is an incredibly skilful young batter taking the best bowlers in the world down a lot of the time.”It’s a big loss for us to not have him. The last couple of weeks he has been under the weather. Hopefully, he gets back to full health soon, but unfortunately, it’s not going to be in time for the minimum of last two games that we’ve got.”In an in-game interview during yesterday’s match against Rajasthan Royals, head coach Ricky Ponting told host broadcaster Star Sports that “Prithvi has been ruled out now”, without specifying for how long.At the post-match presentation, captain Rishabh Pant was asked if Shaw’s IPL was over. He too didn’t have a concrete answer. “We miss him, but at the same time that is something we cannot control,” Pant said. “He got typhoid or something like that because the doctor told me that. Hopefully, he will be back [but] we don’t know yet. If he is back it’s going to be a good addition for us.”Capitals currently have 12 points from 12 games with a healthy net run rate, which gives them a genuine shot at the playoffs.
